As I reach into the past and try to learn from the Twitter
experiment; being all in wasn’t that great. Just as you micro blog, you so to
micro measure the traffic and response to the tweets. This can promptly drive
you to alter the content to make the measurements better. Which in altering the
content you alter your focus, which in turn alters your mind.
Now the last time I spent any effort in mind altering
scenarios it involved drugs and alcohol and was much drama and pain for
absolutely no reward and so I am feeling this micro blogging may not be the
same road just a parallel avenues in the same subdivision!
I am blogging this so I can find it. I would tweet it but I
doubt I could find it easily. That’s another drawback these little missives of
wisdom tend to have a very short shelf life and end up on the backend of some
server in a time ticking slide toward obscurity.
Mama didn’t raise a obscure tweeter. She raised a thoughtful
writer whose only outlet was blogging. I am not gonna make a pronouncement that
I am leaving Twitter but I am once again reevaluating the all in approach I
have used for the last 2 months. We need to diversify again as I fear the
obscurity of on line punditry is at an all time low. We haven’t seen it this
bad since…
It’s never been bad really. It’s only tough going that makes
it feel like forever.
So we’ll start with a new discipline instead of running to
twitter to see what the numbers are and if anyone retweeted or left a tweet to
us, we will pull up word and do an exercise in composition and as the
compositions grow so shall the on line posts and for whatever medium it bests
fits that is where it shall go. I think that is a fair way to proceed and we
won’t disparage any of the medias we are involved in. just refrain from looking
at them as the savior and we will all get along just fine!
The WWDC came out yesterday and my MacBook took a hit no
longer manufactured in its current state as a matter of fact it no longer
exists in the product line. So while taking my shower I thought well lets dump
this and get an Air. I don’t really do that much outside of text and browsing
and surely the Air is designed to handle that task. And with summer lap heat
sure to rise wouldn’t it be great to have a Mac that doesn’t radiate heat
levels? But then I thought the media pad is sure to be here soon and why dump
another fifteen hundred when maybe we can get away with just 7 or 8?
Apple must love customers like me that after a sales
presentation just clamor for the latest shiny object they say is cool and I
start justifying it to myself and in a month I am at their doorstep cc in hand ready
to drop another 1.5K in their direction.
Nah, I have given Apple enough cash over the years. Besides
I am yearning for that new iPhone in a week or two, and this MacBook isn’t even
6 months old!
The plight of a vacant Apple obsessive!
