Blogging About Divorce Can Be Painful For The Ex

Focusing on Topics non NASCAR for a few days. Found this in NYTimes about a woman who Blogs the details of her failed marriage to the chagrin of the ex-husband:
Nytimescom

For the blogger, the writing can be therapeutic.

Until the morning her husband, David Sals, told her he “was done” with their marriage, Jennifer Neal had portrayed him so lovingly on her blog that he was called DearSweetDave. By the afternoon of that October day last year, Ms. Neal had shared what she portrayed as his perfidy with the 55,000 regular readers she says visit NakedJencom.

Soon after, readers came to know him by a far less flattering name, and as the guy whose insensitivity made Jen so sick that she was throwing up every day and so poor that she lost her house in Santa Cruz, Calif.

And when a despairing Jen discovered in February that her ex-husband had put his information up on Match.com, an Internet dating service, she linked to it from her blog, giving her readers a chance to share their thoughts.

Mr. Sals protested, but Ms. Neal held firm: “If he wants to tell his side of the story, he should get his own blog.”

ZuD's View on HBO's The Wire, Salem Witch Trials and 2008 Presidential Primary

Forgive the off topic, some say inappropriate and in bad taste post:

When I look at what's happening on the Wire
And see what is about to happen
The ill begotten wire tap frees Marlo and his Crew
I think back to why we need these constitutional protections
Witchcraft_at_salem_village_2
It wasn't that long ago in this country
If a man suspected a woman of being a Witch
all he had to do was claim it
and BOOM! One less woman in town

Say today
If Obama was to loose his cool on some debate tactic gone wrong
He could yell to Brian Williams
WITCH!

Hillary would be off the stage
Up for Trial
And Bill Clinton would be partying the next day
at some local TGIF, picking up strays.

ZuDfunck's Tumblelog Archive

There's a fantastic blogging platform called tumblr that offers free, yes Free hosting all you would pay for is a domain name. It is the most attractive layout as well as providing a simple interface for posting video, audio, photo's and various forms of text. NASCAR Blogger ZuDfunck Opening Week Remarks

Nascarzud_2 I want to say after less than a week of being a NASCAR Blogger-

Yeah Sure! Less than a week, so how can I claim the title of NASCAR Blogger?

Because ZuDfunck says so (to borrow a phrase from my favorite WWE wrestler)

That NASCAR fans or fans of NASCAR Blogs are the best fans in the WORLD!

And that’s not just me playing up to you or sucking up, whichever you prefer. I truly mean it. I wish I’d exposed myself sooner! WHAT? Did he just say that?

No really- I use to hide my affection and interest- nay, fascination with stock car racing. Now granted, it’s only been 3 or 4 years, but all the same. Thank you for your attention and interest. I will attempt to keep the Mojo working and devote my energies and interest in the sport to elevate the NASCAR community of Blogs and those out there reading and writing posts about NASCAR.

TriFecta of Topics Does Work: Tech, Sports and Pop Culture

To contradict the comment left on Fark.com for ZuD:

wrek [TotalFark] 2007-12-17 01:03:14 PM
Pick a topic. Sport, Tech AND Pop Culture? WTF? The sites that succeed out there pick one and go with it. You don't see gizmondo interviewing the 49er's quarterback.. pick a topic, pick an audience. Anyway, welcome to Fark... we don't like you.

I take exception based on the success ZuD has experienced in covering the triumvirate. As I said the other day Fark.com has a sour and caustic way of addressing the issues and topics of the day and as such negates their value and importance. Glad it only cost me forty bucks to find that out...

The Orange Bowl That Should of Been, Virginia Tech and Oklahoma

Orangebowl_2

Two sources not directly involved in the decision speculated that the commissioners feared such a matchup might damage the legitimacy of the Ohio State-LSU title game.

The second-ranked Tigers have the same 11-2 record as both the Hokies and Sooners. Theoretically, a decisive victory by Oklahoma -- which is ranked No. 3 in the AP and Coaches polls -- combined with a less decisive LSU victory over the Buckeyes could have opened the door for a split national championship. (Unlike the coaches, AP voters are not obligated to select the BCS title-game winner No. 1).

"We certainly recognize the rules provide for the top two teams playing in the BCS national championship, and from that a winner will be named BCS national champion," said Oklahoma's Castiglione, whose team routed then-No. 1 Missouri 38-17 in the Big 12 title game. "There could be an argument for a split national champion, and that may be stated by any number of people. The AP is a very reputable poll. We just wanted to play the highest-ranked team. That was our goal all along."

Asked whether the split possibility played a factor, Slive insisted, "It never came up."

Asked why the opportunity to see the No. 3 and 4 teams play would not qualify as a game with "greater appeal to college football fans," as the BCS manual spells out, Slive replied, "Everybody looked at that, and knowing that, still came to the same conclusion. In any such consideration of something like this, you have to look at the question of what precedent does it set -- particularly when there have been more compelling requests that have not been granted -- and what are the unintended consequences?"

Castiglione stressed that Oklahoma is still pleased to be facing West Virginia in the Jan. 2 Fiesta Bowl ("This discussion had nothing to do with our eventual matchup," he said), and apparently Sooners fans are as well. As of last Friday, the school had sold all but about 2,000 of its 17,500 allotted tickets.

Meanwhile, Kansas on Monday sold out its allotment (also 17,500) for the Jan. 3 Orange Bowl against Virginia Tech.
